Two are better off than one . . . if one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it’s just too bad because there is no one to help. . . Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
We all need friends! True friends are there for the good times AND the hard times. There are many barriers that can keep us from making and keeping friends. Busy schedules and long work hours keep us occupied. Tight finances limit our socializing options. Concerns about personal safety make us cautious about reaching out to others or inviting others into our home. Social media offers the illusion of friendship, but without the real depth of relationship created by shared time and experiences.
At PostScript Outreach, we are aware of these difficulties to finding and keeping friends. So, we have been hard at work developing an exciting new program, Unexpected Friendships! With Unexpected Friendships, we want to help you create intentional relationships through time spent together sharing, discussing and journaling.
We will match you with someone compatible (but maybe unexpected!) and provide you with all the tools you will need to develop a relationship during eight Friendship Connections. Get to know someone new and maybe make a new BFF! Watch for more information coming soon about Unexpected Friendships!
